When we bought our 1840’s farmhouse in 2004, most every part of the house and yard needed attention.
Many parts needed immediate, simultaneous attention.
The epic rhubarb patch, however, was not one of them.

What a great photo of your sweet friend. (We lost our 15-year-old dog a year ago. Pictures like this are such great mementoes, aren’t they?) His character really shines through. And look at that rhubarb! GIGANTIC!
What an adventure, restoring a 1840’s farmhouse. It sounds like a wonderful place to live.
